1. About these terms

By using the Your Boat Manager (YBM) website (including www.boat-manager.com and related sites), apps and services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.


These general terms apply to all users; if you use a paid subscription service (such as YBM Shore Crew Manager), the additional subscription and service‑specific terms below also apply and override any inconsistent general term for that service.

2. General use of the YBM website and services

You agree to use the website and services lawfully and not to interfere with their operation or attempt unauthorised access.


Unless we say otherwise, content and tools are for your personal or internal business use and must not be copied or exploited commercially.

You are responsible for keeping information you provide to YBM (including boat and contact details) accurate and up to date.​


We may reasonably update or change the website, features and content from time to time without notice.​

3. Accounts and membership

Some features require an account or membership; you are responsible for your login credentials and all activity under your account.​
We may change, pause or withdraw free tools or membership features at any time, acting reasonably.

4. Subscription services (all plans)

This section applies to any paid subscription service offered by YBM, including YBM Shore Crew Manager and other ongoing support plans.

  • Subscription plans renew on a recurring basis (for example, monthly) until you cancel via the process we provide.

  • Fees, billing frequency, inclusions and payment methods are shown or confirmed at sign‑up and may change with reasonable notice.​

You can cancel by contacting us through the channels we provide; cancellation usually takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
We may suspend or cancel a subscription if fees remain unpaid, if there is a serious breach of these terms, or if we reasonably decide we can no longer provide the service, in which case we will use reasonable efforts to notify you.

5. YBM Shore Crew Manager – additional terms

YBM Shore Crew Manager is a subscription‑based, remote boat management support service that helps you stay organised with suppliers, maintenance and admin.


Once your subscription is confirmed, your YBM Coordinator will make every reasonable effort to contact you for a short online meeting to set up the management program for your boat and confirm your preferences and key details.

We will make every reasonable effort to: coordinate remotely with your chosen suppliers, assist with scheduling agreed maintenance and service tasks, and help you track relevant budgets and information.​


This is a remote coordination and administration service only; on‑site attendance, inspections or supervision are not included as standard and, if requested or reasonably required, may be offered at our discretion for additional agreed fees.

You remain in control of who works on your boat. YBM does not perform repairs or maintenance itself and is not a party to your contracts with contractors, marinas or other suppliers.​


You are solely responsible for selecting, approving and paying your suppliers (unless otherwise agreed in writing) and for ensuring their services and products are suitable, safe and compliant; YBM is not liable or responsible for the quality, suitability, safety, performance or outcome of any third‑party services, works or products, even where we help coordinate them.​

6. Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate, up‑to‑date information about your vessel and relevant contacts, and to tell us within a reasonable time about changes that affect your boat or service needs.​


You remain responsible for reviewing and approving supplier quotes, schedules and works, and for ensuring your vessel’s seaworthiness, safety and regulatory compliance.​

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

We use reasonable care and skill and make every reasonable effort in our coordination and support activities, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error‑free services or any particular outcome.


We cannot and do not guarantee the availability, timing, pricing or performance of any third‑party supplier, contractor, marina or service provider, and are not liable for their acts or omissions or for events beyond our reasonable control.​

To the extent permitted by law, any liability we have in connection with a YBM subscription service is limited to the subscription fees you paid for that service in the 3 months before the event giving rise to the claim.


Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or remedies you may have under Australian consumer law that cannot be excluded or limited.

8. Privacy

We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, available on the YBM website.​


By using the website or services, you consent to us collecting and using information about you and your vessel as reasonably necessary to provide and improve our services, and you confirm you have authority to share any third‑party contact details you provide for coordination purposes.​

9. Changes, governing law and contact

We may amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time; the latest version will be posted on the YBM website and applies from the date it is posted, and your continued use generally indicates acceptance.​


These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you agree to the non‑exclusive jurisdiction of its courts; if you have any questions, please contact us using the details on the Your Boat Manager website.
